Confirm the actual property and the services it uses. Keep the town boundary, school assignment, utility accounts and daily journeys as separate checks.
Check actual journeys, opening arrangements and parking rules.

Confirm the property before choosing the plan
Belle is a town in Kanawha County on the Kanawha River, with Charleston part of the wider regional context. Start with the physical address and who controls the property. A postal town name, a Census boundary, a school name and a utility connection answer different questions.
Use the orientation map to locate the incorporated town, then check the property itself. It cannot identify your parcel, assign a school, show flood risk or approve a truck route. The address checks below organize useful questions without inventing residential neighborhoods.
If you are comparing homes, visit the actual approaches, entrances and rooms. Keep notes for each property rather than apply one attractive photograph to the whole town.

Four practical address checks
Compare the actual property using these four checks. They do not divide Belle into residential neighborhoods or establish school, utility or transit coverage.
The municipal-address check
Identify the actual property and responsible owner.
Confirm collection dates and the usable KRT service.
03 /
Inspect the rooms and the receiving route
Walk from the proposed stopping place into the home before committing to the receiving plan. Check porch steps, thresholds, door swings and inside turns. Measure larger pieces against the actual route, including stairs to upper rooms and any lower-level access. Ask the owner which surfaces can bear the proposed vehicle and which spaces must stay clear.
For a rental, confirm keys, inventory condition, appliance responsibility and what changes require permission. For a purchase, identify handover tasks and who will leave the property ready. Photograph concerns and agree responsibilities before arrival.
A room-by-room layout helps you decide what fits and what should be discarded or stored. Keep the daily-use essentials separate from the cartons you will open later.
Check usable room space and the receiving route.
04 /
Agree access with the property owner
Before handover, confirm who opens the entrance, which rooms can receive belongings and whether another household shares the drive or doorway. Ask the owner or manager about any building access window, lift reservation or surface protection requirement. A key date by itself does not settle those arrangements.
Keep a contact available to resolve a blocked entry or changed room access. If renovation work, a locked gate or a shared driveway affects arrival, photograph it and agree a response before delivery. Keep public sidewalks and essential access clear while you organize the receiving space.
05 /
Set up water and sanitary service separately
Ask the seller or landlord which providers serve the exact property and who has to establish each account. The West Virginia American Water new-customer page links to MyWater for starting or stopping service, account management and alerts. Confirm address coverage and the requested start date with the provider rather than infer them from a regional website.
Belle’s utility page describes a municipal sanitary account and a deposit to begin that service. A sanitary account is separate from a drinking-water connection. Ask Town Hall what applies to your address and confirm the current amount and documentation before budgeting. Electricity and internet also need their own provider and appointment checks.
Arrange dates so the home can be used when keys arrive. Keep account confirmations accessible during the move, and ask who is responsible if a prior occupant has not closed an account.
06 /
Check parking at the home and destinations
Ask where your household vehicle may park, whether a shared drive needs to remain clear and what restrictions apply at everyday destinations. Property permission and public street rules are separate. Check current signs when you visit rather than infer permission from another parked vehicle.
Belle’s published parking documents include a private-property permission provision and a narrow-street provision about leaving roadway available for traffic. Ask the town or relevant road owner about your actual arrangement, including a moving vehicle if delivery needs street space. These scans do not establish a complete current approval process or a universal loading exception.
07 /
Confirm collection, recycling and larger-item removal
The town sanitation page divides regular garbage collection between Monday and Tuesday street groups and lists recycling on the last Friday of the month. Check your actual street group and holiday changes with the town. Do not assign a day to an address just from its mailing label.
Extra trash requires separate scheduling. The page lists a charge and particular early-month collection dates; confirm the current arrangement, item limits and preparation before putting bulky items outside. Ask how clean cardboard and other accepted recyclables should be presented. Keep the discard pile separate from what the movers will transport.
Finish the cleanout early enough to leave a clear entrance and carrying route. If the collection date falls after your departure, agree who will handle the remaining items rather than leave that task unresolved.
08 /
Confirm assignment, enrollment and the first journey
The town community page lists Belle Elementary, DuPont Middle and Riverside High with local contact details. Those names do not assign every Belle postal address to those schools. Give Kanawha County Schools the physical address and the child’s grade, then confirm the assigned school, current enrollment procedure and start date.
The current district website provides a transportation link and beginning-of-year forms. Ask the school which documents and forms apply to your situation and confirm any requirements that the online instructions leave unclear.
Arrange the first school journey separately from registration. Confirm any bus eligibility, stop and pickup information with the district, and have a practical first-day plan if processing is not complete when you arrive.
09 /
Test the journeys you will actually make
Try the route to work, school, shopping and appointments at the hours you expect to travel, in both directions. A map distance to Charleston is not a door-to-door driving time. Check the property’s street connection and current traffic conditions, and keep an alternative if the usual approach becomes unavailable.
KRT’s current schedules list regional fixed routes, including Chelyan and Quincy. A route name alone does not confirm the stop nearest your home or a usable return trip. Use KRT’s trip planner or call its schedule line at 304-343-7586 with your exact origin, destination and time.
KRT also publishes service changes and on-demand information. Check the service that actually applies to your address rather than assume a former route still runs or every property is in an on-demand zone. Plan first-week essential journeys before relying on a single departure.
Check both directions at the hours you need.
10 /
Check river-related questions at the address
A town beside the Kanawha River is not one uniform flood classification. Use the FEMA Flood Map Service Center to search the actual address and review the applicable map products. The town orientation map on this page is not a flood map.
Ask the owner about the property’s history, lower-level condition and drainage, and raise insurance or lending questions with the relevant provider before committing. Inspect where water goes around the entrance and driveway. A map result does not replace a property inspection or settle every insurance question.
Keep practical receiving needs in view as well: a lower-level room that stores household goods may require a different carrying route and preparation from the main entry.

Check library access and printing before a visit
Riverside Public Library is listed at 1 Warrior Way, Suite 104, Belle, with phone 304-949-2400. The branch publishes different hours by day, including Thursday and Sunday closures; check its current page and calendar before traveling.
KCPL’s computers and printing page lists self-service printing and copying across its locations and provides a Riverside wireless-printing link. Confirm the process and current charges with the branch. Fax availability varies by location, so ask before treating it as a fallback for a time-sensitive document.
If you need a study room, follow the branch’s reservation information rather than assume one is free on arrival. Arrange home internet separately; a public printing resource is not a household connection.
Confirm the actual address and ordinary first-week arrangements.
12 /
Prepare the entrance for the actual day
Watch the forecast close to your arrival and inspect the carrying route again. Rain can affect porch steps, leaves on pavement and soft driveway edges. Keep drainage clear and decide where wet outerwear and first-night essentials will go so the entry does not become cluttered.
In colder conditions, arrange treatment of the walking surface with the property owner and agree any changed approach before the vehicle arrives. A seasonal illustration cannot tell you the current surface condition or whether a particular vehicle can use it.
Give the moving team updated photographs if weather or property work materially changes the route that was used for planning.
Clear the agreed route and check conditions on the moving date.
13 /
Put the first-week arrangements in one place
Keep the key date, account confirmations, school contacts, transport plan and collection arrangements together. Separate fixed appointments from tasks that can wait. Identify somebody who can answer questions about the property when you arrive.
Before departure, check that the receiving rooms and agreed route are available. Pack medication, documents, chargers, basic toiletries and essential food outside the main shipment. Leave yourself a usable first evening instead of relying on finding one carton among many.
14 /
Check the handover and revise what changed
After arrival, record property condition and confirm the accounts and essential equipment you expected to use. Resolve a missing key, uncertain collection day or school transport question with the relevant owner. Keep those household arrangements separate from any moving-inventory issue so each reaches the right person.
Revisit your everyday journeys once you know the real timing. A chosen home may work differently on a school morning or a late return than during an initial viewing. Update the household plan from what you observe.
15 /
Turn the property plan into a moving scope
Once the address, receiving date and essential accounts are clear, make an inventory and photograph the vehicle position and carrying route. Tell the movers about unresolved keys, building windows or property conditions before the plan is finalized.
The Belle moving services page covers packing, access, estimates, delivery and storage planning. For an existing regional service page, see Charleston moving services. Confirm service for your actual addresses and dates.

Questions before you arrive
Is every Belle mailing address inside the town?
A mailing label and the incorporated town boundary are different. Check the physical property and responsible authority before assuming town services.
Are water and sanitary accounts the same?
Check them separately. The town describes a municipal sanitary account; confirm the drinking-water provider and each account requirement for the exact address.
How do I find the assigned school?
Give Kanawha County Schools the physical address and the child’s grade. Confirm assignment, current enrollment requirements and first-day transportation with the district.
How do I confirm the garbage day?
Ask the town about your actual street group, holiday changes and preparation. Extra trash has a separate scheduled arrangement; do not rely solely on a postal label.
Does a KRT route name prove a bus is usable from my home?
No. Check the actual stop, service time and return journey with KRT’s current planner or schedule line. On-demand zones require their own address check.
Does the town map show flood risk?
No. It is an orientation boundary. Search the property in FEMA’s map tools and address insurance, lending and property-history questions with the relevant owner or provider.
Is Riverside Public Library open every weekday?
Its published hours vary by day and list Thursday and Sunday closures. Check the current branch calendar before traveling, especially around holidays or events.
