Ohio / City relocation guide

A practical guide to moving to Campbell, Ohio

Start with the full property address and the week you will live there. Verify school and account owners, test ordinary journeys, and connect keys and household needs to the arrival date.

Confirm the property behind the mailing address

Campbell is an incorporated city in Mahoning County. The map on this page follows Census place GEOID 3911066, rather than ZIP 44405 or every address using a Campbell mailing name. The postal label helps deliver mail; it does not by itself establish municipal jurisdiction, school attendance or the service provider.

Use the Mahoning County Auditor to start a parcel or address search, then verify relevant jurisdiction and records with their owner. The site links a GIS parcel viewer and distinguishes the tax year of its displayed information. A listing price or an old tax bill is not a complete forecast of the costs at your new address.

When asking about a property, keep its full address and parcel identifier together. Use the city office to identify the local owner of a question about use, alterations or services. Obtain the applicable answer for that property before committing to work.

Compare the house as you will use it

Walk through the home with the furniture and routines you intend to bring. Check room openings, usable storage, electrical outlets and the path between the kitchen, bedrooms and entrance. A room that holds a bed in a listing photograph may leave too little circulation for your own bed and storage.

Include areas below and above the main floor. Ask the appropriate professional to assess concerns about moisture, the building systems or previous alterations. Existing condition, recent work and promised future work are different matters; keep the agreed repairs, completion dates and receiving arrangements in writing.

If step-free living matters, test the entire route from a usable vehicle position through the entrance to the rooms you need. A flat front walk does not resolve an interior step or a bathroom turn. Discuss feasible adaptations with the property owner and qualified professionals before relying on them.

04 /

Read the lease around the arrival date

For a rental, identify the date and time possession begins, how keys are collected and what must be completed before furniture arrives. Ask who controls shared entrances, whether a carrying route crosses another resident's space and what working hours or floor protection the owner requires.

Clarify which accounts the tenant opens, which charges remain with the owner and how an existing service is transferred. Keep permission for pets, storage, household changes or work on the property with the lease documents. An informal conversation is harder to rely on when the receiving day changes.

If you plan to stay temporarily with family or in managed housing, verify occupancy and the documents that schools or providers will accept. A mailing address alone may not supply the residency records needed for enrollment or an account.

05 /

Verify the school district by the full address

Ask the responsible district to confirm the address, grade, intended start date and any support or transportation arrangements. Campbell and Youngstown school district boundaries do not follow the Campbell city outline. Confirm the responsible district for the property; the city name alone does not establish school assignment.

The Campbell City Schools registration office publishes an appointment process and a residency checklist. Check the 2026/27 school announcement and confirm the current requirements and registration dates with the office before arranging attendance. A past event is not an upcoming registration deadline.

Youngstown City Schools has a separate enrollment process and records list. Once the address is confirmed, use that district's current instructions. Keep the child's school records, health records and applicable guardianship or support documents accessible. Confirm the first attendance day and the journey to school separately from the furniture delivery date.

06 /

Set up water and sewer with the correct account owner

The city's current Water Department page names Aqua as the water provider and gives 1-877-987-2782 for account and service questions. The same page lists a separate city sewer-billing contact at 330-755-3396.

The Mahoning County Sanitary Engineer also describes wastewater service in Campbell. Check the actual bill and full address to establish which office handles the account, transfer and any unresolved charge. Water supply, sewer transport and billing responsibility are related questions, but one contact need not answer them all.

Before arrival, confirm account responsibility, the desired service date and how to report a problem. For a rental, ask which services are included and which you must open. Check electricity, gas, heating fuel and internet for the actual address; compare installation timing with when someone can provide access. Keep the relevant confirmation and emergency contacts available outside the moving cartons.

07 /

Build the household budget from actual documents

Combine the lease or financing payment with the property-specific taxes, insurance, utilities and travel costs that apply to your household. For an older or recently altered home, ask about maintenance and the records for completed work. Separate a predictable bill from a repair allowance and a one-time setup cost.

When comparing addresses, calculate the journeys you will actually make and the services you need. A lower monthly housing payment can come with a less convenient school, care or work trip. Keep the moving estimate and any temporary housing or storage stage in the arrival budget rather than treating them as ordinary monthly expenses.

08 /

Test the outbound and return journeys

Use WRTA maps and schedules to check public transportation from the full address. Its 3-Wilson route page lists stops including Tandy House, Coitsville Road and Buell Avenue, and a connection to Federal Station. These named stops are a starting point for investigating a relevant trip, not proof that every Campbell home is served conveniently.

Check the actual stop, walking route, direction, first departure and the return trip for the day you need. Confirm transfers and what happens if an appointment or shift finishes late. Ask the operator about accessibility or other service arrangements that matter; a general service description does not establish individual eligibility.

If you drive, try the journey at the relevant time and include parking at the destination. Use ODOT OHGO for current conditions and restrictions before travel. Distance from Youngstown is not a promise of commute time or a truck route. Keep an alternative for a day when the usual trip is unavailable.

Confirm the stop, day, direction and return journey.

09 /

Plan parking and the delivery position separately

Check where the household vehicle and visitors can stand, how that area is reached, and which part of the pavement must remain clear. Ask the owner about shared spaces, assigned places and any arrangement that depends on another resident. Include parking at the destinations you use regularly when comparing homes.

Furniture delivery needs its own standing and carrying plan. A space suitable for a car may be too short for the assigned truck or leave no room to work. Show the approach, surface, overhead clearance and the continuous route to the entrance. Keep bus stops, junctions and other entrances usable.

For a street proposal, start with the Campbell Street Department to identify the responsible owner and ask about the exact vehicle, position, date and duration. For private land, obtain the property owner's agreement. Record the arrangement before delivery; a map or contact page does not reserve a space. Use the separate moving services page to join that access information to the shipment plan.

10 /

Check everyday errands from the proposed home

Map the food shopping, pharmacy, care appointments and household errands you make in an ordinary week. Check opening hours and the full travel time, including walking or parking. If someone in the household cannot drive, test those trips without assuming another person will always be available.

Ask existing providers how records, prescriptions or continuing appointments should transfer. Arrange time-sensitive needs before arrival and keep essential supplies with you. Availability at a named facility or the presence of a clinic in a directory does not establish that it accepts your plan, has a suitable appointment or provides the required service.

11 /

Use the correct Campbell library location

The Campbell branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County lists 436 Struthers-Coitsville Road with a Lowellville mailing address. The Community Literacy Workforce and Cultural Center uses that address and describes library, education, health and recreation resources. Treat it as a useful regional destination; its name and mailing address do not establish its position inside the Campbell city boundary.

Check the current branch hours, card requirements and the trip from your home before relying on a visit. Ask about the program, room or service you need. A building that houses several partners can have different access arrangements for each activity, and an older event announcement is not a standing appointment.

12 /

Visit the surroundings you would use

The city's Parks and Recreation page identifies Roosevelt Park and its outdoor recreation and pavilion facilities. Visit with the route and activity you have in mind: a walk from home, a family outing or a planned gathering.

Ask the city about current availability and booking terms for a pavilion or the community center. Posted fees can change; this guide does not turn a saved rate into a quotation. Park amenities also do not authorize vehicle staging for a household move.

13 /

Separate household rubbish from recycling

Confirm the rubbish provider, collection day and rules for oversized items with the owner or responsible service before setting anything out. The city's Community Links points to the county Green Team, while the county Recycling page offers an address-specific calendar request.

The Green Team FAQ directs residents to the curbside calendar or 330-740-2060 for specific information, and separates materials that need another recycling route. Check the receiving rules for cartons, electronics, appliances, tires or household chemicals. A recycling bin is not a place to leave unwanted furniture, and a special collection announcement is not confirmation that your item will be accepted.

Decide how packing waste will leave the property after delivery. Unwrapping furniture, emptying the contents of cartons and removing packaging are different operations; arrange the service you need rather than assuming they all happen automatically.

14 /

Keep the entrance usable when conditions change

Plan who will clear the agreed approach and keep steps and landings usable before the vehicle arrives. Check the forecast and OHGO road conditions near the travel date. Discuss a changed or unsafe route promptly rather than asking the crew to discover it while carrying.

For a property assessment, use the FEMA Flood Map Service Center as a starting point for the address and the effective flood information, then seek the advice relevant to the property. The city outline on this page is not a flood map or an insurance determination. Do not assume every home shares the same exposure from its municipal name.

Check the approach and household routine as conditions change.

15 /

Make the first week workable

Before travel, reconcile possession, usable keys, accounts, school or care arrangements and the person receiving the shipment. Set aside enough medication, clothing, simple meals and bedding to manage a changed delivery date. Keep important records and contact details with you.

At handoff, record the property condition through the agreed process and identify issues needing follow-up. Direct furniture only after confirming the intended room and route. During the first week, test the journeys and waste arrangements you planned, resolve outstanding account questions and update the household contact details where required.

Leave time for a slower settling-in stage if someone needs a more accessible routine, is starting a new school or has a tightly scheduled job. The aim is a home and daily plan that work together, beyond unloading the shipment.

Questions before you arrive

Is ZIP 44405 the same as Campbell city?

No. Check the actual parcel and jurisdiction. This map shows Census incorporated place 3911066, rather than a postal delivery area.

Does a Campbell address automatically mean Campbell City Schools?

Verify the full address with the district. Campbell and Youngstown school district boundaries do not follow the city outline; use the Campbell or Youngstown enrollment office once responsibility is confirmed.

Who should I contact about water and sewer?

Start with the city's current Water Department page: it names Aqua for water and gives a separate city sewer-billing contact. Confirm the correct account owner from the full address and current bill.

Where is the Campbell library?

The official branch page lists 436 Struthers-Coitsville Road, Lowellville, Ohio. Check current hours, documents and the trip from your home; a branch name is not a municipal-boundary determination.

Can I plan a bus trip just from the nearest route name?

Use WRTA to check the actual stop, day, direction, transfer and last return trip. A route listing does not establish a practical journey from every address.

What should be ready before furniture is delivered?

Possession and usable keys, the agreed standing and carrying routes, destination rooms, a receiving contact and the essential household arrangements. Keep a backup for a delayed handoff.
