Hanging & Mounting
Take down, protect and reinstall the agreed pieces with their positions and attachments reviewed. Sterling Oakbridge offers individually scoped picture and mirror hanging, TV mounting, chandelier work and curtain hardware, with permission, preparation and the responsible executor settled first.
Permission, suitable fixings and technical responsibilities are reviewed for each requested installation.
Models, fittings and condition identified.
Owner and building permission resolved.
Actual wall or ceiling reviewed.
Technical and physical tasks allocated.
Plan the work
Photograph pictures, mirrors and fixtures in place, including the attachment and surrounding surface where visible. Record dimensions, weight where known, existing damage and the requested receiving position. For art, the initial condition record precedes touching, taking down or wrapping.
Give the exact TV, mounting bracket, chandelier or curtain hardware model and instructions where available. Identify parts that stay at the old property and parts that travel, and disclose missing or modified fittings. A television and its bracket should not be treated as compatible merely because both are available.
The property owner or authorized contact supplies permission and the proposed positions. Building rules, wall construction, concealed services and the load change the required method and executor. Resolve those conditions before the visit relies on installation.

Choose your scope
Agree take-down, compatible protection, transport where selected, final position and suitable mounting hardware. Heavy or fragile items need an object-specific support review.
Review the display, bracket, attachments, receiving wall and desired height. Physical mounting, cable routing, electrical work and configuring the TV are distinct tasks.
Select removal, item-specific packing and installation as named stages. Safe electrical preparation, ceiling attachment and the qualified executor must be explicitly arranged.
Identify rods, tracks, brackets, curtain groups and receiving measurements. The earlier window’s dimensions and fittings may not suit the new opening.
Compare complete plans
| Responsibility | Agree before the appointment |
|---|---|
| Permission and position | Authorized owner or building contact approves the location and work. |
| Item and hardware | Exact model, condition, weight where known and suitable complete fixings are identified. |
| Surface and attachment | Wall or ceiling construction and mounting method are reviewed by the responsible executor. |
| Technical readiness | Any electrical preparation, utility work, cable work or commissioning is separately assigned. |
| Finish and acceptance | Define position, attachment and any selected setup; repairs, repainting and packaging collection are separate questions. |
Plan the work
A piece taken down before the last night may still be needed in the home. At receiving, mounting cannot use a wall still awaiting finishing or a room blocked by unpacked contents. Plan the preparation and installation visits around those real constraints.
Specialist packing or custom crating may be appropriate for a mirror, artwork or chandelier, but is individually selected. Keep parts and hardware identified through transport. Manufacturer, lender or insurer opening requirements must fit the installation stage.
Basic furniture reassembly does not include every mounting job. These services are individually quoted after item, surface, access and operation review. Give a named decision contact for placement questions; no unlimited handyman, repair or electrical bundle is implied.

A workable sequence
Send in-place photographs, dimensions, models, hardware and requested take-down or installation stages.
Confirm the property’s rules, surfaces and qualified executor for technical tasks.
Complete agreed safe preparation and keep each object’s parts and condition record connected.
Use the reviewed position and attachment, then confirm the agreed receiving result and any separately scheduled finishing.
These local plans place the reviewed specialist or finishing task in the wider project. Exact work, address and dates are agreed individually.
Plan object-specific packing, custom crating, insurance and suitable holding for art, antiques and heirlooms.

Before you book
Practical answers about the work, preparation, price and receiving result.
Ask a coordinatorYes, as individually reviewed work. Send in-place photographs, dimensions, weight where known, receiving positions and wall details. Agree suitable hardware, permission and any take-down, transport or packing stages.
Yes, with the exact display, bracket, receiving wall, position and permission reviewed. Physical mounting does not automatically include electrical work, concealed cable installation or technical configuration; name those responsibilities separately.
The confirmed chandelier service can include reviewed removal, packing and installation. Safe electrical preparation, ceiling attachment, access and the qualified executor must be agreed before either appointment relies on the work.
Not automatically. Send the rods or tracks, brackets, curtain groups and receiving measurements. Review compatibility and any missing fittings before scheduling the agreed installation.
No automatic mounting scope is implied. Basic furniture work uses moving labor time; picture, TV, chandelier and curtain tasks are individually reviewed with their surfaces, fixings and required executor.
Only if separately reviewed and explicitly agreed. Take-down or mounting does not itself establish a general building-repair service. Identify the existing condition and desired finish before quoting the selected work.
