Move-Out Cleaning

Move-Out Cleaning

Prepare the vacated property for its agreed handover. Sterling Oakbridge offers individually scoped move-out cleaning, with the rooms, surfaces, access, timing and person accepting the result specified separately from moving and removal work.

Cleaning tasks, executor, preparation and acceptance are individually agreed. Moving and removal charges remain separate.

Named surfaces

The actual cleaning tasks are listed.

Ready property

Rooms, access and utilities prepared.

Separate scope

Moving and removal distinguished.

Checked handover

An authorized contact reviews the result.

Plan the work

Define the handover result before the last load leaves.

Send the rooms and photographs, the property’s handover requirements and the date access ends. Identify whether the space will be empty, partly furnished or still occupied. A vacated apartment, a house after selected furniture leaves and a business room clearance need different cleaning plans.

List the actual requested areas and tasks rather than rely on a generic deep-clean label. Floors, kitchen surfaces, bathrooms, cabinets or appliance interiors should be named where you want them included. The quotation must specify which work is accepted, who performs it and any preparation the owner supplies.

Cleaning is separately scoped from loading, furniture removal and collecting empty packaging. If unwanted items remain, identify an authorized removal list and its receiving route first. Clearing a room can expose surfaces for cleaning, but it does not automatically make either operation included in the other.

Choose your scope

Make the cleaning appointment usable.

Released rooms

Confirm when loading and any other work leave the selected areas available. Repeated traffic through freshly cleaned rooms can change the sequence.

Access and utilities

Provide permitted entry, the responsible contact and the utilities or supplies required by the agreed cleaning scope. Building and property hours can differ from the moving window.

Condition and contents

Show existing dirt, damage and remaining belongings accurately. Disclose unusual contamination or a concern requiring specialist treatment before accepting an ordinary cleaning plan.

Handover evidence

Agree who inspects the named tasks and how completion is recorded. A landlord, agent or new occupant may have separate acceptance requirements.

Compare complete plans

Different finishing operations buy different results.

Moving, removal, collection and cleaning scopes
OperationWhat to quote
MovingApproved inventory transported or carried to its agreed position, with selected preparation and placement.
Furniture or waste removalNamed unwanted items carried out with authorized release and an agreed accepting route.
Packaging collectionChecked cartons and wrapping collected at the selected stage, with its separate charge.
Move-out cleaningNamed rooms and surfaces cleaned under the accepted task list, timing and executor.
Repair or restorationSeparate specialist questions; cleaning does not promise building repair or remediation.

Plan the work

A last-day deadline needs room release and inspection time.

Schedule cleaning after the relevant contents leave and before keys or access are handed over. If rooms become empty at different times, compare a phased visit with one appointment after loading. Each extra visit or repeated cleaning must be included in the cost comparison.

Show the actual move-day timetable and any property inspection. Confirm who can authorize changes if the load runs later or a room is not released. An estimated moving duration is not a fixed finish time for a dependent cleaning appointment.

The cleaning scope does not guarantee a deposit refund, sale completion or acceptance of unrelated property defects. Compare the completed named tasks with the actual handover requirements, record concerns and use the property’s agreed acceptance process.

A workable sequence

From the first list to the receiving result.

  1. List the property and tasks

Send condition photographs, selected rooms, surfaces, contents and handover requirements.

  2. Agree scope and executor

Confirm accepted tasks, preparation, supplies or utilities, access and individual charges.

  3. Release the rooms

Complete moving and authorized removal in the planned order before the cleaning work.

  4. Check the agreed result

Have the authorized contact inspect the task list and record completion before access ends.

Move-Out Cleaning questions

Practical answers about the work, preparation, price and receiving result.

Ask a coordinator
Do you offer move-out cleaning?

Yes, as individually scoped work. Send the selected rooms, condition photographs, requested surfaces and handover deadline. The quote names the accepted tasks, executor, preparation and timing.

Is cleaning included in my moving charge?

Not automatically. Moving, removal, packaging collection and move-out cleaning are distinct operations. Request the cleaning tasks separately so their scope and charges are explicit.

Can cleaning happen on the same day as the move?

Yes, when the selected rooms are released, permitted access and required utilities are available, and the accepted appointments fit. An hourly moving estimate is not a guaranteed finish time; agree what happens if room release is delayed.

Will cupboards and appliance interiors be cleaned?

Include the exact cupboards and appliances in your request, with condition and preparation photographs. Those tasks must appear in the accepted quote; the move-out-cleaning label alone does not establish every interior surface.

Do unwanted furniture and cartons need to leave first?

The agreed cleaning areas need appropriate access. Identify furniture removal and packaging collection as separate tasks and schedule them in the useful order; do not assume the cleaner accepts an unknown discard load.

Does cleaning guarantee my deposit will be returned?

No. It supplies the named accepted cleaning work. Deposit decisions and other property defects follow the actual tenancy or handover terms; have the authorized contact check and record the agreed cleaning result.
