Order for the contents, not a guess based on room count.
Advance material delivery can give a household or office time to pack before the main crew arrives. Send the items, rooms and packing responsibilities: books, dishes, hanging clothes and ordinary mixed contents need different carton choices. Identify unusually fragile or heavy objects for a separate protection review.
Agree the carton types and quantities, delivery address, receiving contact, date and permitted staging area. A building that permits the final move on Saturday may have different rules for an earlier material delivery. Cartons should not block an exit or the route the movers will need.
An advance preparation visit is a separate selected stage. Explain whether it includes delivering supplies, packing selected contents or other agreed preparation. Delivery of empty cartons does not itself include packing labor.
Choose your scope
Different contents need different preparation.
Books and dense contents
Use reviewed smaller carton sizes rather than making an oversized load. Name the room and contents so the receiving order remains clear.
China and kitchen contents
Choose compatible wrapping and suitable cartons for the actual objects. Fragile pieces need support as well as an exterior fragile label.
Hanging clothes
A wardrobe carton can keep suitable garments together. Agree what hangs and what folds; a carton is not furniture-wardrobe assembly.
Specialist objects
Art, mirrors, chandeliers or unusual pieces may need fitted protection or a custom crate. An ordinary carton order does not settle that method.
Plan the work
Separate carton purchases from moving materials and working time.
Company-supplied cartons used for the job are charged separately. Moving blankets, shrink wrap and tape have no separate material charge in the agreed moving work. That moving-work policy is not an offer of free stand-alone supplies or an unlimited material delivery.
Packing is charged for working time. Agree the advance delivery or preparation visit and any later packing as distinct stages in the estimate. Ask what happens to a revised order or unused cartons; no universal refund or buyback policy is promised here.
Set a pack-first order without making the final night unusable. Keep daily essentials and last-use items accessible. Label cartons by room, contents and identifier as they are completed, and tell the planning team if the preparation plan or shipment changes.

Yes, with an agreed order, receiving contact, access and delivery date. Advance preparation can also be scoped separately. Confirm the building permits the earlier visit and has a suitable place for the supplies.
Are company cartons free?
No. Company-supplied cartons used for the job are charged separately. The written estimate identifies the carton order and any packing or delivery stages.
Are blankets, wrap and tape additional moving charges?
Moving blankets, shrink wrap and tape have no separate material charge in the agreed moving work. This does not promise free stand-alone material purchases or delivery.
Does material delivery include packing?
No. It provides the agreed materials. Packing is a separately selected operation charged for working time; identify the rooms or items and appointment if you want crew preparation too.
Can I order for books, clothes and fragile dishes together?
Yes. Send the actual contents so suitable carton types and quantities can be reviewed. Oversized dense cartons and unsupported fragile contents should not be treated as the same packing problem.
Can I return unused cartons?
Ask for the terms for your specific material order before purchase. No universal refund, collection or buyback arrangement is established; delivery and packaging removal are separate questions.
