Movers in Annville, Pennsylvania
Share the belongings, requested work, full addresses and dates. We will review the preparation, access and receiving conditions for your moving estimate.
01 /
Give the move a workable start and finish
A move in Annville needs more than a date and a street name. The belongings, requested work and actual carrying route determine the preparation. A side entrance reached over steps can change the handling plan even when the truck can stand close to the house. A furnished student room needs a different shipment from an unfurnished family rental.
This page concerns Annville CDP in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Annville Township is the local municipal context; a 17003 mailing address can refer to a wider area. For regional planning, see our Harrisburg moving page. Use the separate Annville living guide for school contacts, household accounts, transit and everyday destinations.

Choose the work before comparing estimates
Sterling Oakbridge provides local and interstate household moves, commercial moving, packing and storage. Choose the work you need, then let us review the inventory, access and timing for your estimate.
| Moving help | What we can include | What to send |
|---|---|---|
| Local residential moving | Loading, transport, delivery and basic furniture disassembly and reassembly | Both addresses, inventory, dates and the route through each property |
| Interstate moving | Pickup, transport and delivery arrangements, with storage when needed | Destination, date constraints and the person receiving the shipment |
| Commercial moving | Office and business furniture, equipment and agreed preparation, including moves with building restrictions | Business type, equipment list, building rules and the work schedule to protect |
| Packing and unpacking | Selected-item or full packing, preparation before move day and optional box unpacking | What you will pack and what you want us to prepare |
| Storage and staged delivery | Storage between addresses and an agreed receiving and delivery plan | Expected dates, contents and anything you need to access during storage |
| Designer and hotel furniture receiving | Receiving, storage and delivery of furniture to an agreed plan | Expected shipments, delivery instructions and the final receiving site |
Identify who will pack the contents, prepare furniture, supply the vehicle and receive the shipment. If you need help with only selected rooms or loading a separately arranged vehicle, say so. If there are belongings at another address, include that stop at the beginning. A proposal is easier to compare when the same shipment and responsibilities are visible in each version.

Send an inventory and show both property routes
Let the scope determine the survey
A clear item list may be enough for a small, straightforward job. More belongings, full packing, specialist items or restricted access can call for a video review or an in-person visit. Floor area helps describe the property, but the contents and work matter too.
Start by sending what you know. Our move-planning team will recommend the right level of review so the estimate reflects the job. You do not need to choose a survey method or work out every measurement before contacting us.
The survey helps us choose staffing, time and preparation for the actual job. The person reviewing your move is not necessarily part of the moving crew.
Start with both full addresses, proposed dates and the items that will travel. Include the basement, attic, garage, outdoor furniture and contents of storage cupboards. Mark pieces staying behind. Describe specialist objects by dimensions, construction and make or model where useful, with photographs of the complete item.
For access, a short video can follow the route from the proposed standing space to the receiving room. Show the surface, steps, doorway head and jambs, stair turn and fixed handrails. At the destination, identify who can inspect the property and what remains uncertain. An entrance photograph or home size alone cannot establish that the shipment will fit.
04 /
Inspect the side entry, stairs and internal turns
Compare the front and side approaches at the actual property. A side door may shorten the carry while adding concrete steps, a small landing or a tighter inside turn. Measure the route with the largest pieces in mind, including the clearance over stairs and around fixed fittings. A route should be usable by people carrying a protected load, with room to place their feet and communicate.
In a shared rental, confirm which entrance is available, whether other residents must retain access, and any protection or working-hour instructions. At a private drive, show width, overhead clearance, surface and the exit. Ask about another vehicle or contractor that could occupy the planned space. Make a destination room plan before cartons obscure the route.

05 /
Confirm the truck position and the responsible authority
For private space, ask the owner or manager to confirm permission and the usable working area for the assigned vehicle. Check that it can enter, stand and leave while preserving the pedestrian route and shared access. A vehicle fitting in a drive is only one part of the arrangement.
If the plan uses a public street or right-of-way, contact Annville Township with the address, date, duration, truck dimensions and intended operation. Ask which road authority reviews the request and what process, notice or charges apply. Follow posted restrictions, including the township’s street-sweeping instructions. A convenient gap at the curb does not settle the approval question.
The permit directory distinguishes road occupancy, street dumpsters and curb or sidewalk construction. Describe your actual need before choosing a form. A dumpster permit does not reserve moving-truck space. Keep a confirmed alternative if the preferred working position is unavailable.

Use manageable cartons and a clear packing assignment
Labor, materials and optional work
| Item or task | How it is charged |
|---|---|
| Basic furniture disassembly and reassembly | Part of your moving labor time, without a separate basic assembly fee |
| Moving blankets, shrink wrap and tape | No separate charge for these basic protection materials |
| Boxes supplied for your move | Charged separately |
| Packing | Charged for working time; boxes are separate |
| Unwrapping furniture | Part of delivery |
| Unpacking the contents of boxes | Optional work, charged for working time |
| Packaging and waste removal | Charged separately |
| Complex furniture and other specialist work | Individually quoted after review |
Tell us which tasks you want completed and which materials you need. Your estimate should distinguish moving labor, boxes, specialist work and removal charges.
Agree which contents you will pack and which need our preparation. Dense books belong in suitable small cartons with manageable weights, rather than a large carton filled to the top. Separate fragile items and collections in the inventory so their preparation can be reviewed before sealing boxes.
Label the receiving room and anything needed during the first week. Keep medicines, keys, personal records, chargers and essential work items with the household. Tell us about contents that require special transport advice before packing them. When a room is being packed, leave a clear path and one usable work surface; unfinished sorting can add work at pickup.

07 /
Review protection and preparation for the real item
Show the construction, dimensions and route for large or complex furniture. A cabinet that fits through the outside opening may still encounter a narrow hall or stair turn. Identify removable parts, loose shelves and existing marks before preparation, and tell us about fittings attached to the building.
Protection should suit the surfaces and the handling method. The route may call for carrying, suitable equipment or a revised preparation plan after review. Keep the destination floor and door area clear before delivery. If a piece cannot use the expected route, pause for a workable method instead of relying on a last-minute change.
Specialist services by individual quote
| What needs attention | Work available for review |
|---|---|
| Complex furniture | Bunk beds, Murphy beds, large flat-pack wardrobes and specialist sofa disassembly and reassembly |
| Heavy items | Pianos and grand pianos, safes, gym equipment and pool tables |
| Art and collections | Fine-art handling, soft packing, custom crates and crating to an agreed museum or collection specification |
| Hanging and installation | Pictures, mirrors, wall-mounted TVs, curtain hardware and chandeliers, with the removal, installation and any technical work scoped separately |
| Business equipment | Office furniture systems, restaurant refrigerators and ranges, and industrial equipment assessed for the specific item and route |
Send photographs, dimensions, make or model where relevant, and the route through both properties. Describe exactly what needs to be taken apart, moved or installed. We review the method and required work before providing an individual quote.

Join the building window to the carrying plan
We can coordinate building COIs, moving-truck permit arrangements, elevator scheduling and moves that require union labor. Send the building instructions and management contact early. We can also arrange materials and packing before the carrying window when the property permits that access.
The agreed plan should identify who submits each request, who approves it and which municipal or building charges apply. An application is one step; the required access and time still need confirmation.
Record which person opens the property, who confirms any application and who can make a decision if the entrance or working period changes.
For a Lebanon Valley College residence, first check the Residential Life instructions and your assigned room. College-owned furniture and allowed personal contents affect the shipment; a room key or a general campus parking map does not by itself authorize a commercial delivery route. Obtain the receiving directions for your hall and date.
09 /
Plan the sequence and make delays concrete
Work backward from usable destination access. Identify the handover, packing completion, building window and the last day you may occupy the old address. Give the planning team genuine date constraints and possible alternatives. Confirm any contractor, landlord or campus appointment before joining it to the shipment schedule.
If the keys are delayed, decide who can confirm a new receiving time and what temporary arrangement is possible. Do not leave that decision to the moment a truck is ready to unload. A late handover, inaccessible route or unfinished packing can change the work, storage or delivery stages; have the revision reviewed before the affected work begins.
10 /
Keep storage and staged delivery usable
If the shipment must wait between addresses, specify the expected interval, access needs and items required before final delivery. Set aside clothing, essential documents and work materials that cannot remain with stored goods. Record which part of the shipment is stored and what is delivered first.
At the new address, clear the receiving rooms and agree how stored furniture will be placed. If a renovation or purchase is still uncertain, keep the delivery date subject to confirmed conditions rather than treating a target date as usable access. Ask for the storage and handling charges and the process for arranging the next stage in writing.
11 /
Protect the business task that must resume
For an office or small business, list furniture, equipment, records and anything requiring preparation by another contractor. Identify the work that must resume first, the staff entrance and the receiving area. Give us building instructions, allowed hours and the person authorized to approve changes.
For incoming designer or hotel furniture, provide the expected shipments, identification, receiving checks, storage interval and final delivery instructions. Separate receiving from final placement so missing access or unfinished rooms can be managed. For equipment, describe the actual removal, transport and installation tasks instead of assuming that every technical operation is included.
IT transport and disconnection are available; arrange reconnection and system startup with your IT team. Crane work is outside our service scope.
We can also quote island moves, recycling, move-out cleaning and car shipping. For an island destination, provide the exact address so the vehicle or freight crossing, receiving arrangements and final delivery can be reviewed together.

Keep the shipment and charges visible
Local moves: estimated hours, not a fixed total
Most local moves are priced by working time. Your estimate sets out the hourly basis, any minimum hours and the work and materials to be charged separately. Estimated hours help us plan the crew and whether the work can fit the proposed day; they are not a maximum charge or a promise that the move will finish within that time.
A move estimated at six hours may take eight if traffic delays the truck, an elevator is shared rather than reserved, packing is unfinished or the inventory or plan changes. Tell us about changes early. If the work needs preparation on another day or a separate delivery stage, we will review those arrangements with you. Charging follows the written terms for the move.
Long-distance flat rates: the same scope, the same price
For a long-distance move quoted at a flat rate, the agreed price stays the same when the shipment and agreed work stay the same. Added belongings, omitted items, extra packing or changed access and delivery requirements can change the scope and price. Keep the inventory, packing responsibilities and pickup and delivery conditions in writing, and have additions reviewed before the affected work begins.
Direct and consolidated long-distance moving
Our direct long-distance service uses a dedicated truck and the same moving crew at pickup and delivery. For a suitable small shipment, ask about consolidated delivery with a wider agreed receiving window. We serve destinations throughout the United States and Canada. Confirm pickup, delivery and any storage stages in the written move plan. The planning team performs a separate role from the moving crew.
13 /
Record protection before pickup
Choose protection before the move
Discuss the basic liability option and higher protection available at an additional charge before moving day. Have the selected level, cost, limits and claims process recorded in your moving documents. Tell us about artwork and other high-value items in advance so their declared values and any special requirements can be reviewed.
For interstate household-goods moves, Full Value Protection applies unless you select Released Value through the required written waiver. Valuation is the mover’s level of liability; it is different from a separate insurance policy. Review the FMCSA explanation of liability and protection and the terms for your particular move.
14 /
Finish with a receiving check and a waste plan
At delivery, use the inventory and room labels to confirm placement and record anything requiring attention through the agreed process. Keep the usable route open while cartons are distributed. Agree whether the household will unpack or wants separately charged help with box contents.
Packaging removal needs its own arrangement. Annville’s residential drop-off center does not permit business or contractor use, and access ends when a property is sold. Do not assume that a mover may use an old owner’s card. For bulky household items staying behind, ask about the township’s coordinated pickup service and its current charges before leaving them at the curb.

Questions before you move
What should I send for an Annville moving estimate?
Both full addresses, the inventory, proposed dates, packing responsibilities and photographs or video of the complete access route. Identify large items, extra stops and destination details still awaiting inspection.
Does a convenient curb space settle the truck arrangement?
No. Confirm private permission or the applicable public-road process for the actual vehicle and operation. Ask Town Hall which authority reviews the proposed space and follow posted restrictions.
Are basic furniture preparation and boxes charged the same way?
Basic furniture disassembly and reassembly use your moving labor time without a separate basic assembly fee. Moving blankets, shrink wrap and tape have no separate material charge. Boxes are charged separately. Complex furniture and specialist work receive individual quotes.
What if the new keys or receiving room are delayed?
Tell the planning team as soon as the conditions change. Confirm who can approve revised access and review any waiting, storage or staged delivery before that work is needed.
Can you help with box unpacking and packaging removal?
Furniture is unwrapped as part of delivery. We can also unpack the contents of boxes as optional work charged for time. Packaging and waste removal are charged separately; include the help you want in your request.
Does a college mailing address identify my delivery entrance?
Confirm the actual hall, allowed contents and receiving instructions with LVC Residential Life. A mailing address or general campus map does not establish your working entrance or delivery window.
